Christmas is around the corner and what’s coming up even earlier is the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales that might just give you an edge over others as far as splurging on gifts for your loved ones is concerned. According to the Black Friday 2023 US report by Wunderman Thompson, six in 10 U.S. shoppers hit the Black Friday sales to look for Christmas presents and there’s no reason why we should not do so, too. Here’s how you can get your shopping done and make the best of the deals available:
We usually have storewide sales instead of discounts on individual items, so more people opt to shop for Black Friday sales, as compared to the End Of Season Sales. They choose to get holiday gifts in advance because they get to distribute their expenses over two months, rather than splurge in just December

32% of shoppers do their X’Mas shopping during the BFCM sales
Over 87% of people take part in shopping during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday events. Out of these, around 32% of the customers will do Christmas shopping, about 45% will buy products they’ve been wanting for a while, and 23% of shoppers just want to spontaneously hunt for good deals.
How to plan ahead:
Make a list: Write down the names of the people you want to gift, and the items you intend to purchase for them ready.
Look for discounts: Search online and check out stores for the kind of discounts they are offering for the items on your list and shortlist them according to the best price you can get.
Check out return policies: Returning an item that you will be giving out as a gift almost a month later will prove to be a challenge. If you are unsure of sizes etc., check on return policies at stores or online before you make the final purchase.
You can’t go wrong with these gifts:
Tech gadgets, cosmetics, personalised gifts or fashion accessories make for the perfect gifts to buy in advance during BFCM sales.
I love shopping for my friends and family during the BFCM sales because the discounts are massive. I usually stick to clothes and perfumes; they make for great gifting options during Christmas, especially
